Connect your Google account

Sign in to Google from OpenCircle Desktop and start using it with your Familiar — no separate cloud console setup on your side.

You just sign in; your server administrator handles the one-time Google setup. You don't need your own API keys or a credentials file.

Connect in OpenCircle Desktop

  1. Open Connections → Apps & accounts → Google Workspace. If it says setup is needed, ask your administrator to enable it first.
  2. Enter the Google address you want to connect and choose Continue with Google — it can differ from your OpenCircle login.
  3. Finish sign-in in the browser that opens, and review the requested permissions before approving.
  4. Return to OpenCircle and look for Connected on this device.

If Google shows an unverified-app warning, confirm with your administrator before continuing.

Try it: open a private conversation and ask your Familiar what's on your calendar today — you're done once it answers. Keep Desktop running while you use this connection; personal Google sign-in currently happens there, not on the web or mobile app.

Keep this in mind

Use private conversations for private mail or documents — anything retrieved from Google can reach your Server and its model providers as part of that conversation.

Need a hand?

If setup looks missing or Google blocks sign-in, ask your administrator to check the integration. To reconnect, change accounts, or disconnect, use the same Connections card.
