Browser Use and connected websites

Give your Familiar a job on a website, connect an account when it's needed, and watch the browser work.

Browser Use gives your Familiar a live, hosted browser for anything a website's own interface is best for — clicking through menus, gathering information across pages, filling in forms, or editing content. For a quick lookup, a search tool is usually faster; Browser Use earns its keep when the task needs the actual site.

Before you begin

Your Server needs a Browser Use key, which an owner or admin adds in Server admin. You'll also need your own Familiar and, for anything behind a login, the relevant website account.

Connect a website account

  1. Open Connections → Websites.
  2. Choose Connect another website, enter its address, and choose Connect.
  3. Sign in inside the protected window, completing any verification the site asks for.
  4. Choose Done once the site shows you're signed in.

Type passwords and verification codes into that protected window, never into a message to your Familiar.

Describe the job

Name the site, the result you want, and any limits that matter, for example:

Use my connected account to look through the server list on this dashboard. Find the production server and tell me its name and what runs on it. Don't change anything.

Your Familiar explains what it's about to do, works within that request, and pauses on anything dangerous, irreversible, unclear, or outside what you asked. It doesn't need a second approval for the same task, and connecting an account never authorizes unrelated changes.

Watch it work

Choose Watch live on the browser task to follow the pages your Familiar visits, and Hide to put the viewer away. If a task is interrupted, check what actually changed before asking it to try again — stopping the browser doesn't undo anything the site already accepted.
